Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation Announces Community Charity 5K Run/Walk on April 12

Long Island, NY — The Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation (RQCF) proudly announces its upcoming Charity 5K Run/Walk taking place on April 12, 2026. Designed as a community-driven, family-friendly event, the run/walk invites runners, walkers, families, and supporters of all ages to come together in honor of Rachel Quinn’s legacy while raising funds to support children across Long Island.

Unlike a formal gala-style fundraiser, the April 12 event prioritizes visibility, community presence, and mission alignment. Participants are encouraged to run or walk at their own pace, making the event accessible and welcoming to individuals and families alike.

The 5K will be professionally timed and managed through EliteFeats, ensuring a smooth and organized experience for participants.

Proceeds from the event will directly support the Foundation’s core initiatives, including the distribution of backpacks filled with essential school supplies, educational resources for underprivileged children, and community-based programming throughout Long Island.

“This event represents what Rachel stood for — community, kindness, and showing up for children,” said the Foundation. “It’s about coming together in a meaningful way and turning collective energy into tangible support for kids who need it most.”

In addition to participant registration, local businesses and community members are invited to support the event through tiered sponsorship opportunities, ranging from Presenting Sponsor to Community Supporter levels. Sponsorship recognition focuses on community visibility and shared mission values rather than formal advertising benefits.

Registration is now open through the official event page hosted by EliteFeats.

Foundation Honors Late Patchogue Teacher by Providing School Supplies to Local Children

Patchogue, NY — Long Island–based Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation invited the public and local businesses to support its inaugural year of service through the Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation Cocktail Benefit and Silent Auction.

The Foundation’s first official event raised funds to provide school supplies to underprivileged children throughout Long Island and surrounding communities. Through community donations and fundraising efforts, the organization committed to providing over one hundred backpacks filled with essential school supplies to students in need.

The inaugural Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation Cocktail Benefit was held on June 14, 2022, at The Better Man Distilling Co. in Patchogue, NY. The event marked the beginning of the Foundation’s mission to carry forward Rachel Quinn’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and dedication to children.

The Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation was established in 2021 by family and friends following the sudden passing of Hauppauge elementary school teacher Rachel Quinn and her unborn child. Rachel was known for her generosity, empathy, and unwavering commitment to creating a positive and supportive classroom environment.

“Rachel was known for her kindness and willingness to help others, so this foundation is an extension of everything she stood for,” said Nathan Quinn, husband of the late Rachel Quinn and founding president of the Foundation. “Losing her and our child so suddenly was devastating beyond words. But through this organization, we can keep her dream alive along with the community that she had so much impact on.”

The Foundation supports underprivileged children across Long Island by providing school supplies, educational resources, and recognition awards for students who embody the kindness and empathy Rachel exemplified in her classroom.
